The John F. Kennedy Foundation of Thailand

for Thai-American Friendship


The John F. Kennedy Foundation of Thailand will promote closer Thai-American friendship by supporting young leaders committed to truth, justice, and liberty through education, public service, and good governance that benefits mankind in Thailand, the United States, and ASEAN, now and in the future.

When news of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963 was announced, people throughout the world were shocked and saddened by the untimely and violent death of this U.S. President whose life had been dedicated to ideals of peace, justice and liberty. In Thailand, as in other places, people who shared the sense of personal loss experienced by grief-stricken Americans sought ways to make the ideals of Kennedy live on.

Thai–American Friendship: The Way Forward

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the John F. Kennedy Foundation of Thailand, a Roundtable was organized to raise awareness on Thai - U.S. relations among the Thai public.
